About twice a year, Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito offers FREE admission to Bay Area residents.

🗓️The next one is on Wednesday, March 5th!

If you can’t make it to that, here are a few ways to make your next visit to BADM more affordable:

1- Museums for All Program: If you have an EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) card, your family is welcome to participate in the Museums for All program, which reduces the price of admission to $3 per person for up to 6 family members per EBT card.

2- Many local libraries have Bay Area Discovery Museum membership cards that can be checked out and used to visit, so check with your local library! ( Also known as Discover & Go pass)

3- Pay-what-you-can Policy: this is an open door policy offered on most days, allowing families to pay what they can. Families can donate any amount to visit the museum. Just tell the front desk staff that you want to donate.

4- and finally, get a membership if you plan to visit often.

More important tips for families planning to check out Disney on Ice:

⭐️ It’s happening NOW at SAP center in San Jose through March 2

⭐️ Parking was $30 at SAP’s ABC lot. You can reserve parking ahead.

⭐️ There are some pyrotechnics 🧨 that were a bit startling 🎧

⭐️ Bring a jacket it is chilly

⭐️ Lots of souvenirs for sale inside 🤑

⭐️ Personal Faves: Lightning McQueen and Mater made an appearance and the Moana segment was everything!! 🔥🔥🔥

⭐️ This show featured almost every Disney character (except Ariel!)🧜‍♀️

Now for Story time—
We recently took an international trip as a family. It involved a layover and a lot of moving from place to place during the trip, staying at a total of 3 hotels.

We definitely brought a stroller, BUT one of the wheels broke during the trip! 😵

Luckily we had these ride-on luggage’s that we used to pull the kids. It also served as entertainment and helped them get their zoomies out!

These were 💯 WORTH IT!

HONEST REVIEW ‼️

🇨🇴 While we loved the culture, the food, the language, the history and more- Cartagena, was much more touristy and crowded than I remember from last time I visited years ago!

🥵 It’s also really hot.. add to that we had a hard time getting around with a stroller, so would take Uber when we got tired of walking.

BUT WAIT FOR THE BEST PART..

🌟The highlight of the trip- escaping to Barú for a few days for a friend’s maginificent wedding. Highly recommend visiting this area of a Cartagena ➡️➡️ More on that in my next video!

Here’s everything we did on our recent trip to Cartagena, Colombia with two kids ⬇️

But first let me answer the two biggest questions people have asked-

YES it was safe and family friendly, but
NO it wasn’t very stroller friendly.

[ THE ITINERARY ]

Day 1: explore Cartagena’s colorful and historic neighborhoods like Getsemaní and the Old City. Stop by Ábaco book store and cafe for a break from the heat 🥵

Day 2 to 4: Take an Uber, transportation service, or boat tour to Barú. It’s beautiful here and this was the highlight of the trip! 🤩

Day 5: Take an Uber back to Cartagena and explore the Old Walls, the old Spanish Fort, Centenario Park and souvenir shopping. 🏰

Day 6: take a day long boat trip to Rosario Islands and Oceanarium. 🌊

- Sofitel Barú Calablanca

There are 2 playgrounds on opposite ends of the park.

The smaller playground with a sand area and water feature are on the Rincon Avenue

The newer, all-inclusive 2-story playgrounds play structure is on the Budd Avenue side.

** NOTE: the playground has wood chips on the ground making it difficult for wheelchairs to navigate **
