Where To Go Ice Skating in the Bay Area: Holiday Ice Rinks

Here’s a list of all the holiday ice skating rinks  in the Bay Area open this season and when they'll be closing.

Many of these ice rinks have the skating buddies to help new skaters and young kids have more support. They usually cost extra. You're probably wondering if little kids can enjoy ice skating. My answer to that is.. it depends on the kid. Three years old seems like a good age to try out ice skating, but I have definitely seen younger kids out on the ice.

If you're worried your child might be too young for ice skating, there is iceless skating at the Bay Area Discovery Museum that's perfect for toddlers. It's a temporary exhibit and I'm not sure how long it will be there, so I suggest checking with the museum before going.
